Be Bubbly and Fun

Have you ever wanted to be more bubbly and outgoing, or perhaps just project an overall more pleasant personality? Well, fear not, it is possible to learn to curb bad habits that make you seem boring or unhappy.

Steps

  1. Discover! The first step to being a bubbly and fun individual, is to discover why you weren't before. Are you easily let down and depressed, or easily angered or annoyed? First take steps to improve control over your emotions.
  2. Be happy! If you want to outwardly appear happy, it would be easier if you felt it on the inside. When feeling angry or sad, smile, even if it's forced. Pretending to be happy is actually proven to improve your mood. Try techniques like writing down how you feel or working out issues with other people.
  3. Make Friends! Be nice to people. Pretend you're in a contest to see who can be the nicest, but don't overdue it to the point of seeming like you're kissing up. If someone doesn't seem to like or appreciate you, continue being nice to them, but try to avoid social contact as much as possible.
  4. Dress the Part! This is optional, but helps. Dress girly casual in cute jeans and jean shorts, fun shirts in any color and maybe cute dresses from time to time. In the winter, try out girly sweaters with tights. Cater girly casual to your style, manipulating it until it's your own.
  5. Always Make Conversation! Be fun to be around. Nobody likes talking to someone who never has anything to say back. Ask questions and comment on things. Share your interests and answer honestly to any questions asked to you. If someone is awkward and quiet, respect them by making the silence a comfortable one and/or ask more questions than you answer.

Tips

  • Nobody's perfect. If you slip up, no big deal. Part of this is learning to accept life and just be happy.
  • Be yourself. You can take from the bubbly fun personality without destroying your own. Use tips from this article, but don't act like someone you're not; there are those who love you for you no matter how you act and dress.
  • Try not to be argumentative or too opinionated. People will appreciate you respecting their opinion as they should respect yours.
  • Make good friends; ones who are similarly bubbly and fun, as they're personalities will influence yours. It's easy to act easy-going when those around you are as well.
  • Not everyone will like how you are changing and improving; respect their opinions, but don't take it to heart.

Warnings

  • Try not to be squeaky, chirpy, whiny, or anything like that. There is a fine line between bubbly or fun, and annoying.
  • Don't complain too much
  • Be nice when you can, but in the face of a bully, defend yourself in a respectful manner.
  • Don't change too quickly. Be gradual and patient, or else touchy people may notice the changes and think you're being too fake, even if you're not.
  • If you're still in school, make sure if you dress the part that it does not conflict with dress code.
  • Even though being happy plays a role, if you're just not, then you're not, and there's only so much you can do. If you're feeling down, confide in a friend or a journal.
  • Not everyone is cut out to be a certain personality. You have to know when to move on and just be yourself.
