Be a Good Concierge

It is your first day on the job as a concierge for a Marriott hotel. You are nervous. So this is what it takes to become a great concierge.

Steps

Be presentable. Make sure before you arrive for work(as with any business)that you take a shower, brush your teeth, comb your hair and shave, wear a suit(with your credentials). Good looks will leave a positive impression on people.
Greet them with "Good morning/afternoon/evening, May I Help you" and if you want, put your hands behind your back.
Give suggestions to the guest of places to eat, see and do. Answer any questions that they have.
Have a map handy with you to point them in the right direction. Most concierges don't have a photographic memory.
Be kind and smile. Now matter if it's a concierge or simply "desk clerk", the guests should be treated with respect.
