Become a Jenny Craig Consultant

Jenny Craig consultants work one-on-one with Jenny Craig clients to monitor their progress and help them reach their weight loss goals. Consultants also help clients design individualized menu plans and purchase Jenny Craig products. Jenny Craig looks for enthusiastic, people-oriented candidates with a strong background in sales and customer service.

Steps

  1. Contact an existing Jenny Craig consultant.
    • She can tell you first-hand what it's like to work for Jenny Craig and may be able to refer you to her supervisor for consideration, once you have completed your application.
    • She can also offer tips and pointers on how to become a Jenny Craig consultant.
  2. Create a resume and write a cover letter highlighting your previous sales experience.
    • If you have any experience in health-related customer service, such as a gym, include that information in your resume and cover letter.
    • You should also highlight any computer experience you have.
  3. Navigate to the Jenny Craig website, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Job Opportunities" under About Us.
    • Click on the link for the "Online Career Centre," under Career Opportunities, to access the application for an on-site Jenny Craig Consultant.
    • Enter the media code and/or job code if you have one. If not, click on "I don't have a job code."
    • Select Weight Loss Consultant or Program Sales Consultant from the list of available jobs. Enter your postal or zip code and the country where you would like to work. Click "Continue."
  4. Click on the job link for the location in which you would like to work.
    • If there are no consultant jobs listed, that means there are no jobs available in your selected area.
    • Hit the "Return to Job Categories" button to enter a different country and/or postal code.
    • If consultant jobs appear but you want to see more, hit the "Expand Search Radius" button to reveal more listings.
  5. Read the job description to verify that you have selected the correct listing.
    • If it is not the correct listing, click "Return to search results" to select the correct listing.
    • If it is the correct listing, click "Continue" to apply for the job.
  6. Click the "Select Media Type" drop-down to select the method by which you heard about the job.
    • Select "Internet" for the Jenny Craig website and select "Jenny Craig Website" from the "Select Media Source" drop-down.
    • Click "Continue."
  7. Enter your contact information in the spaces provided and indicate whether or not you have worked for Jenny Craig in the past. Click "Continue."
  8. Create a password and security question. Click submit to create an account and access the application.
    • By creating an account you will be able to return to the site to check the status of your application.
  9. Answer the questions on the application and click "Continue" after each entry.
  10. Upload the resume you created. If you created your document in something other than Microsoft word, copy the text and paste it into the web form. Click "Continue."
  11. Enter your demographic information, click "Continue."
    • If interview appointment times are available, you will have the option to select an appointment.
    • If no appointments are available, click "Save and Go To Profile" and a Jenny Craig representative will contact you.

Tips

  • Send your interviewer a letter thanking them for the interview, expressing your interest in the job and reiterating your sales and customer service experience.
  • Be up-beat and enthusiastic during your interview and highlight your sales and customer service experience.
  • Contact the office where you have submitted your application if you have not heard anything within five business days.
