Behave in a Taxi
Taxi drivers can be one of the most important people of the night, when you have been drinking and need a ride home. That's why you need to know how to treat them and their Taxi.
Steps
- When flagging down a taxi, do so in a respectful manner and do not put yourself or others in danger when doing so.
- When telling your Taxi driver the directions or place you want to go, speak clearly and loudly so that he/she can understand your directions.
- While riding to your destination, do not be extremely loud in the taxi because loud noises can not only annoy your driver, but also distract him/her and might cause him to wreck.
- When exiting, make sure to grab all your items and not forget them because that can be a big hassle for the driver. Not all of them will take the extra time to track you down and give you your items back.
- When exiting the cab, make sure to tip if the driver got you there in a timely manor, and was friendly.
Tips
- Tips for the driver vary greatly and there is no set amount or percent.
- Make sure to take into consideration what taxi drivers have to deal with on a daily basis when riding and tipping them after arriving at your destination.
