Cancel Your Account in Classic Myspace
- Log in to your Myspace account. Type in your user name and password to access your account.
- Click on "My Stuff." It's the third option from the left of the top of your home page.
- Select "Account Settings." It's the first option under "Account" at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
- Select "Cancel Account." You can find this option under "Account Settings & Privacy" on the left side of the screen.
- Select "Cancel Account" again. You have the option of leaving a comment about why you're canceling your account. This will send you a confirmation email to make sure that you really want to cancel your account.
- Open the confirmation email and click on the link. Myspace will direct you to a link that will allow you to confirm that you'd really like to cancel your account.
- Confirm your email address.
- Select "Cancel Account." Your account will be canceled. Just wait up to 48 hours for the process to be complete.
Cancel Your Account in the New Myspace
- Log in to Myspace. Type in your username and password.
- Click "Settings." You can find this option second from the bottom of the menu under "Home."
- Select "Delete Account." This will be the option on the bottom of the right-hand side of the screen. This will bring you to a new screen.
- Select "Delete Account" again.
- Select a reason why you'd like to delete your account and select "Delete my Account." You won't be able to delete your account without giving a reason. This will delete your account.
Tips
- All information in your account will be deleted and you won't be able to recover it.
- When you email Myspace about any concern, they may not answer right away or at certain days.
- Some emails that you may use may not work with Myspace. In other words, you may not receive emails from Myspace to cancel your account or to verify your account. You could change your email to Google Mail or AOL because they usually get Myspace's emails right away.
- When you delete your account, it is gone forever.
- Only do this if you are completely sure you don't want a Myspace account any longer.
