Care for Twins or Triplets on Sims 3

Having trouble managing all those kids? Read this article and your Sims lives might be a tad easier!

Steps

  1. Create a room for your children. It makes it easier to handle them if they have a room or multiple rooms instead of being in a hallway all the time.
  2. Decorate the room(s). Paint the walls and decorate until satisfactory.
  3. Add a few toys or fun stuff for them to do for when they grow to toddlers and above.
  4. Have an adult Sim take care of their needs if they are unable to do so themselves.
  5. Make sure that there is at least one adult Sim in the house at all times, you don't want the kids to be left on their own!
  6. If all of your adult Sims have jobs, make sure that when their work hours are different, or during school hours.
  7. Hire a nanny if you need help or if you need to go out.
  8. Make sure that if a toddler/baby is sleeping in a room on his/her own, you give it lots of social interactions before it goes to sleep, otherwise it will be very lonely.

Tips

  • Be careful while hiring a nanny. Some of them will leave early!
  • The family oriented trait is extremely helpful in teaching toddler triplets necessary skills.
  • Make sure you don't neglect them, or a sad visit from the social worker will come!
  • Hire a nanny for their needs, if your Sims are too occupied with other stuff.
  • Sell things that aren't total necessities if you're strapped for cash.
  • It's more fun to create a "Doorless" room for babies and put some adult with your toddlers there so they can manage it well, be careful with the female babysitter (Candy Ashleydale) she has "Kleptomaniac" traits and she can kidnap your babies, You're better off doing the "Doorless" method by clicking CTRL + Shift + "C" then put TESTINGCHEATSENABLED ON then "Shift+Left click" the Mailbox to set "Static" to all of their needs or just simply make a mini-kitchen for the adult inside the kid's room (Fridge, Sink, and Oven only) and small bathroom (Shower and Toilet only) and also single bed beside the crib. make sure the "Adult" has handy, family oriented, good, and neat traits.
  • On Sims 3 for iOS, Your male sim doesn't care for the children. So a nanny comes straight away!

Warnings

  • If you ignore their needs for too long, social services may take your kids away!
