Clean, Buff and Wax Cars
How to remove all the dirt and dust from your car and make it look almost new,
Steps
- Rinse off the big clumps of muck with water (you can use a jet-washer for this bit).
- Use a soapy rag to clean one panel at a time and rinse it clean. When you've cleaned the whole car like this let it drip dry. If you can't wait then use a dry cloth to dry it.
- Start waxing. When your car is clean, make sure there is no tar or road paint on the paintwork.
- Use two rags and the wax and grease remover to do take any tar or road paint off, one cloth to scrub and one to buff it after.
- After your car is as clean as you can get it, step back and look for any dullness or fading. If you don't see them then move on . If you do, then you must first use a very fine rubbing compound and clean cloths, plus plenty of elbow grease, think of it as you rubbing off the top coat to get to the undamaged paint.
- Wax your car use a good quality wax paste and make sure you use soft clean rags. Try to keep the wax off of trim areas as it can be difficult to remove.
- When the wax is on and dry then go over your car with a soft (or microfiber) cloth and just rub in small circles one panel at a time. When you've finished look at your car and admire your hard work.
- Don't forget to vacuum the inside.
- Finished.
Warnings
