Do Tricks on Your Tech Deck

Tech Decks are fingerboards. They are for tricks. Each one has it's own unique design. You need to be able to pull off some tricks to impress people and have fun.

Steps

  1. The base position of finger-boarding is putting your index finger on the logo and the pointer finger on the tail, on the back bolts.
  2. Try a shove-it. Put your fingers into the starting position and spin the board with your pointer finger on the tail. You don't need to apply too much pressure.
  3. Learn the pop. Easier than the shove-it, this isn't really a trick, but you must be able to do a pop. Get your fingers onto the base position, and press down with your middle finger to launch the "nose" of the board into the air, while keeping the "tail" on the ground. This is a Pop.
  4. Try ollie-ing. The main motto for ollie-ing, is to pop up, and push forward. This isn't entirely correct but it's partly true. Put your fingers onto the position, and pop the board up - now, immediately slide your index finger to the "nose" of the board to level the board out evenly, and bring the board a few inches to the air. Land the board onto the floor. This is a trick that you need to learn.
  5. Learn grinding. Where there is a small, miniature rail, ollie the board into the air with a 90 degree turn to the side. Land the board onto the rail, and slide the board. This is a grind. To do a slide, do this without a 90 degree turn. Impressive, eh?
  6. Create your own tricks, check out http://www.techdeck.com/, and also make up your own tricks. But don't bother registering on techdeck.com. When you do, it immediately deletes your account.
