Do a Wheelie on a Quad

Popping a wheelie is the coolest thing ever. It looks daring, dangerous, and tricky, but you can learn to do it by following a few simple guidelines. You'll be popping wheelies and moving on to other more complicated tricks in no time. See Step 1 for more information.

Steps

  1. First, you need confidence. If you are really nervous, it could affect your ability to think clearly and you could get hurt.
  2. Start the quad. To do this, depending on what kind you have, you'll either need to pull start,kick-start, or push the button to start.
  3. After the quad is started, ride to an empty space, where the ground isn't too hard.
  4. Barely push the gas, so you are just putting around
  5. Quickly push the throttle in all the way, the engine WILL scream, this is normal.
  6. Lean forward as far as you can, otherwise, there is a big possibility that you will fall backwards and get hurt, and/or your quad will keep moving in front of you.
  7. When you wish to stop the wheelie, quickly let the throttle out, and if you want to keep riding, do so!
  8. or if you have a wheelie bar on the back you can put one foot on that and one foot down by the breaks so that way if you want to put it down all you have to do is tap the break slow.

Tips

  • Always wear your helmet and other gear.
  • You can do wheelies while the Quad is in four wheel drive if it's along the lines of a KVF750 or a Polaris 850, but light sporty two wheel drives like a Blaster, LT450, etc work best.
  • When doing a really big wheelie(front end high in the air) be prepared for an emergency dismount of the quad.
  • Be confident!!!

Warnings

  • If not done correctly, you can break bones!!!
  • Don't go too fast or too high, because you WILL fall off.
  • Make sure you have ridden a quad before, and are fairly good at it.

Things You'll Need

  • A quad(four wheeler)
  • Confidence
  • Safety gear
  • Someone to ride with if you get hurt.
