Do the Kerning PQ of Maple Story

The Kerning City PQ is a Play on MapleStory where you team up with 2 other people to do puzzles and defeat the King Slime. The main prizes from this PQ are the King Slime card and the Squishy Shoes, plus when you collect 15 Smooshy Liquids, you can trade them in for Soft Jelly Shoes, a shoe that gives +2 of each stat. Steps

  1. Enter the Dimensional Mirror. This can be found in any town in Maple World. The symbol for this Do the Henesys PQ in Maple Story is the green slime. It will only show when you are level 21.
  2. When you are in the lobby, find a party. Don't jump around too much. Eventually you will get into one. When your party has 3-4 members, ask which channel you are supposed to be in. When you get there, ask if you are tracking, ACing, or surfing. To track, you need to know the name of a character in a PQ right then. AC is auto-clicker and it means you can't leave the map. If you are surfing, you need to change channels quickly when your leader asks you to.
  3. When you get in, walk all the way to the right. Click on Cloto and she will tell you how many coupons to give her.
  4. Collect coupons by killing the Alligators (called Crocos in Maple Story) in the stage. When you have the right amount, talk to Cloto and give your leader the pass she gives you. Then, wait for your leader to clear the stage.
  5. In stage 2, there are 4 ropes to hang on. 3 should be occupied. There are also 4 combinations of 3 people on the 4 ropes. One of these will clear the stage. When it is clear, go through the portal into the next stage.
  6. In stage 3, there are 5 platforms. They are numbered according to the amount of kittens on each platform. Do all the combinations in numbered order to make things quicker. The combos are 123, 124, 125, 134, 135, 145, 234, 235, 245, and 345. One of these will clear the stage. If one of your party members disconnected, you will be given a Platform Puppet, which can be used to replace a player.
  7. Stage 4, you have to kill all the Curse Eyes in the map. This can be quickly finished with a player with a high mobbing skill.
  8. In the 5th ("Last") stage, kill the King Slime. Talk to Cloto.
  9. Repeat the process until you are bored, obtained the Squishy Shoes, you run out of potions, obtained the King Slime Card Games, or when you have collected 15 Smooshy liquids.



Tips

  • You can also "rush" the PQ. Remember the spy you sent out? Get him/her to stand close to Lakelis and be prepared to "Spam click", which means to click continuously at Lakelis. Then, when you exit the PQ area into the lobby, IMMEDIATELY pass leader to your spy. You have to do this very quickly, as you can't pass leader to someone not in the same map. This method is safer than trying to rush down to Lakelis and click her yourself, especially if you end up in a high-up or faraway spot on the map.
  • If you want to solo the king slime, tell your party members first before doing it.( If you can hit it... )
  • Accept that there's a chance of missing the PQ. Don't get angry. Either surf or track the party in a PQ, if you wish.
  • In GMS, the levels of the Crocos and the Curse eyes varies depending on the levels of your party members (add all the levels of the members and divide by number of members)
  • Don't ask for help until you are inside!
  • You can send out one of your party members to "spy", mainly to see if there's another party waiting for the PQ. If there's only one person sitting around, he or she may still be the leader of a party that is waiting for the PQ -- it's just that everyone else has gone to "hide".
  • Be patient and never give up on finding a PQ.
  • Don't tell the party it is your first until inside the PQ!
  • Don't track your buddies, or your previous PQ friends. They may get angry and defame you.

Warnings

  • If you are grouchy, etc., the party may expel you. If you disconnect, they will also probably expel you. Don't take it personally.
  • Do not keep nicking the Squishy shoes or the Smooshy Liquids the King slime drops if you already have one or have the Soft Jelly Shoes. This will reduce your chance of being in a party.

  • A maple story character, level 21-30, if you play in EMS, BMS, CMS or any other region without Big Bang or a MapleStory character level 21 and over if you play in KMS, JMS, or GMS
