Draw a Maple Leaf

The maple leaf is the symbol of Canada and also the fall season. Learn how to draw one with these steps.

Steps

Red Maple Leaf

  1. Draw a triangle with a curved base.
  2. On top of the triangle draw zigzag lines that will look like a crown.
  3. Repeat step 2 on the left and right side of the triangle.
  4. Draw a long "U" shape at the bottom of the triangle.
  5. Finalize your drawing and erase unnecessary lines.

Green Maple Leaf

  1. Draw a cross. The lines don’t need to be perfectly straight. Place the horizontal line slightly below the center.

  3. Draw more slanted lines connected to your previous lines. This will be the veins of your leaf.
  4. Outline your leaf with curve and zigzag lines.
