Draw a Pegasus
The pegasus is a winged horse, most often colored white, that symbolizes many things such as wisdom and poetry. It is a mythical creature considered to be divine. Learn how to draw the heavenly horse with the two methods below.
Steps
- Start with a skeletal figure for your pegasus.
- Sketch in shapes to serve as a guide. Don't forget the wings!
- Outline the body. Add hooves, a mane, and a tail.
- Now start sketching the wings. Pegasus wings consist mostly of feathers.
- Add detail to the wings.
- Outline your drawing in permanent media (such as ink or paint). Make sure to erase your guidelines.
- Color your pegasus.
Alternate Method
- Draw a triangle and a curved line.
- Add another triangle. Also add an oval, which will become the head.
- Draw four ovals, two in font and two in back. The two in front should be slightly smaller.
- Add a thin oval beneath each of the ones you drew in the previous step.
- Draw a line to connect the front and back ovals. Add three ovals at the back of the image and a triangle between the two you drew previously.
- Outline the image in ink. Bring it to life by adding details.
- Erase unnecessary guidelines.
- Color the drawing. If you wish to leave it white, consider using a bit of light blue crayon to do some shading on the edges.
