Dress For School in 30 Minutes or Less

Having trouble preparing for class in a short time? Follow this advice to organize the time you spend each morning!

Steps

  1. Go to sleep early, because it will help you wake up very early.
  2. Prepare your clothes the night before. You want to dress very simply for school, with no jewels unless they are real (you do NOT want to look tacky). Girls: you can try some dark wash skinny jeans, a solid colored shirt, a brown north face or Columbia fleece and chocolate short uggs (or whatever else you want to wear but this is a quick idea that looks great). Boys: Some athletic shorts (not too short) or jeans, with a t-shirt or a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to wear with your jeans and athletic shoes or some Adidas non-athletic sneakers with jeans. (Note: try not to go overboard on the bagginess, and don't use training or running shoes, leave those for sports.) The idea is to look effortlessly good. Or if you have a uniform, make sure it's clean, and try to accessorize if you can such as a bracelet or watch or necklace.
  3. Wake up 1 hr before the time you have to leave home.
  4. Take your PJ's off , get the clothes and put them in your hamper. 1 min
  5. Take a shower very quickly. If your hair is long, do not wash your hair in the morning. (To save time, wash your face in the shower.) 5-10 minutes
  6. Use deodorant and some hydrating cream. 1 minute
  7. If you have not done so already, pull your hair back to wash your face with a good cleanser. If you have greasy skin, use a moisturiser specifically for oily skin, and use sparingly. 5 minutes
  8. Put on your clothes. 3-5 minutes
  9. Time for hair! Girls: easy styles that are also pretty are, messy buns or knots, also if you want to leave your hair down try a side part. Try straightening hair (it takes about 5 minutes, 10 at the most). If you like, you can also leave your hair down. Dress up simple styles with seasonal accessories if you like (very thin headbands are in, don't use thick ones). Boys: Use a little gel or hair mud/clay (don't go overboard!) to style your hair/keep it in place. If not, just comb it and make it tidy. 1-5 minutes
  10. Have breakfast. 10 minutes (if you run out of time to sit down and eat, grab something to go like an apple or a cereal bar, but never skip breakfast.)
  11. Brush using toothpaste, finishing with floss or a mouthwash. 5 minutes
