Drift With No Brakes on a Bike
Learning how to drift is quite easy, but it takes patience.
Steps
- Get a reasonable speed that you feel comfortable at but not too slow.
- Lean forward and to the side you're turning (lean left or right).
- Stick out your left foot to the side if turning left, or right foot if turning right.
- Turn sharply and push with your foot a little bit if necessary.
- Keep going and don't use the brakes. Good luck!
Tips
- Try it when the ground is wet; it's a challenge but it's fun.
- To stop, either drift the other way for about 3 times or tap the back brakes and when the tire locks let go and tap again.
Warnings
- If you lean or turn too much, the bike will slide sideways or turn the other way and you can cause serious injury.
- If you must bike without brakes, stay on flat, soft terrain.
- Always wear protective gear.
- If you have bad front tires then do not try this. The front will slip and the bike will fall on its side.
- Never use a bicycle with no brakes on public streets, hilly areas, or in traffic. The results can be tragic.
