Start a Honda 100CC Dirtbike

Steps

  1. If your having trouble starting a kick start dirtbike you can try to choke the bike. If that fails charge the cylinder, wich means put your bike in gear and move it backward untill the gear slips and the tire rolls back an inch or so and a sound comes out of the exhaust. do this 3 or 4 times
  2. then kick it real slow, lick one click at a time, once you get all the way down, slowly let the kick starter up, when it reaches the top kick it real fast, if it doesn't start do it again but after the first kick kick three or four more times in a row without stopping. you can try this until you give up
  3. if yet your bike still fails to start you can either push it on a flat surface or roll it down a hill in neutral, once you get to about 10-12mph shift it into third gear and and bounce on it. This is called bum starting and it's what you do if your kick starter is broken. You can do this on all manual vehicles if the starter is broken or the battery is dead
  4. if your bike doesn't start it's probably screwed up, or you don't have any gas in the tank, or the fuel switch is off. if it starts ride and have fun

Warnings

  • Always wear a helmet when riding a dirtbike, chest protectors, knee pads, neck protectors and gloves are not necessary unless you are doing something wicked like going up a 90 degree hill or hitting jumps real hard and getting more than 8-10 feet of air
