- Don't over work your dog or else it will not like you!
Tips
- Spend more time with your dogs and you should get rarer items for more money when you go on walks. Be sure to pet them before walks as well.
- Your first dogs usually get you better presents as their courage (distance they can walk) is longer and they know you better.
- Try to get the lucky collar and clover clock , they help you get rare items that sell for a lot.
- Wear the Green Pearl Bow or Purple Pearl Bow and you might do well in agility. These ribbons along with washing and brushing your dog thoroughly before you enter will heighten your scores in Obedience too.
- Some of these cheat/codes sometimes don't work. Always save before you attempt these cheats because you never know what could happen. If the cheat goes wrong just turn your DS off and restart - your dogs should be fine because it will reset to when you saved.
- Try the unlimited Tournament cheat. You get Trainer points and Money. First you have to go to the options on your DS system. Then you set the date to 2 days ago. Next, set the clock to 23:59. Go to Nintendogs then, you wait until the clock says 00:00 or the clock's hands are both on the 12. Repeat this process every three contests to get a lot of Trainer points and $$$$$.
- Teach your dog advanced tricks eg: back-flip or handstand for extra points in Obedience trials.
- Get 1 of your dogs and brush it but leave the brush on your dog , don't shut the DS lid or it won't work and charge your DS. come back a few hours later and you will have probably gotten more than 180 more trainer points.
- Most of these tips/cheats will not work for you if you just started the game and you can't walk your dog or go shopping yet.
- Have fun!
- Try the 'Laid Back' Cheat; If you have a dog that says it's 'laid back' in its description, (If you don't, buy one at the kennel.) Take it on a walk, circling the house 1-3 times. When you get home, give your dog a bath, when all of the soap is on it, do not touch or rinse it. Set it to charge and come back hours later. You will get 1000 points for the walk, and 2000 for the bath.
- Try the unlimited walks cheat.note:you will not get trainer points while you perform this cheat.
Warnings
- Don't overwork your dog by training it too much as sometimes you will make it angry and it brings down your Trainer Points.
- Never play the Surprise record because it scares your dogs and brings down your Trainer Points too.
- Some cheats you find on sites are trying to ruin your Nintendogs game; never do anything that tells you to delete any or all of your items.
- Make sure not to close the lid.
