Fly in Pandaria

Pandaria is a beautiful continent in Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, teeming with breathtaking scenes and adventure. Of course, the fastest way to experience it all is by flying from place to place. It is important, though, that you first know how to meet all of the prerequisites.

Steps

  1. Reach level 90. Unfortunately, you cannot fly in Pandaria until you are at the maximum level. You cannot even buy flight training for a second levelling character like you could in Wrath of the Lich King. There are a few ways to reach level 90.
    • Method One: Quest. Blizzard has made many improvements to their questing system for Mists of Pandaria and added specialization-specific quest rewards.
    • Method Two: Run random dungeons. Not only do dungeons give you better quality gear than quests, but each one from level 85 to level 90 has special quests that help with levelling.
  2. Speak to a flight trainer once you are level 90.
    • The Alliance flight trainer is Cloudrunner Leng, who is in the Shrine of Seven Stars.
    • The Horde flight trainer is Skydance Shun, who is in the Shrine of the Two Moons.
    • Both flight trainers are close by the flight master.
  3. Buy Wisdom of the Four Winds. This is the flight training for Pandaria. It costs 2500 gold.
    • If you are on a mount which can double as a ground and flying mount when you buy the training, make sure to remount before trying to fly. Otherwise, the game will not recognize your training.

Tips

  • 2500 gold may seem like a daunting amount, but if you save gold while levelling you ought to have enough by the time you reach level 90.
  • You need to be level 90 and have at least trained in Expert Riding to purchase Wisdom of the Four Winds. This can be bought from flight trainers in Orgrimmar or Stormwind, or directly from the flight trainers in Pandaria.

Warnings

  • Once you obtain flight training, do not attempt to fly back to the Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor. Your character will die of fatigue.
