Get Air on a Quarter Pipe on a Scooter

Have you ever seen those guys at your local skatepark on scooters airing out of the half-pipe gracefully as if they are manipulating gravity? Well if so this is the guide for you!

Steps

  1. Get some speed that you feel comfortable with, you want to be able to hit the coping of the quarter Pipe/halfpipe..
  2. As you approach the quarter, bend your knees for extra speed (pump your legs). When you hit the coping retract your knees in a jumping motion, if done correctly you should be soaring like an eagle over that quarterpipe!
  3. Re-entry: The scariest bit of airing to any newcomer to scooter riding, but don't fear with this guide you will pull of this maneuver with ease.
    • Assuming that you're now in the air, you want to pull the bars up and hold onto them. You now want turn your body in a spinning motion to either your right or left side, you should first find out which you feel comfortable spinning.
  4. Coming back in: All you have to do is keep your knees bent and extend them when you hit the quarter pipe in a pumping motion.

Tips

  • Watch your back wheel for casing the coping.
  • Always wear a helmet when first attempting.
