  1. Put yourself in your brothers shoes. If you think something would annoy you the odds are good it probably will your brother so don't do it. Think about what you would would want your younger sibling to do for you, and do that. Don`t overdue it, though, because everyone has things they like and things they don`t.

  5. Do not tell him something you discussed earlier unless you think he will be interested to hear about it. Otherwise, he will get annoyed.
  6. Get on a subject and take it from there.
  7. Be nice to him and help the situation if you can.
  8. Enjoy your friendship with him.
  9. Try to be as mature as possible.
  10. Give him presents on special days, such as his birthday or Christmas. This will make him respect you and be kind to you, guaranteed.

Tips

  • These steps are best suited to little lads and squabbling kiddies.
  • The best time to try to "hang" with your brother is NOT when his friends are around unless they like you and respond well to you. Your best bet is to try to hang with him when it is just you and him.
  • Don't pester your brother, if you ask him to do something and he says no or not now then say okay maybe some other time. Wait a day or so and then ask him again and if he says no again then wait and ask again some other time. Eventually he will probably say yes!
  • Make friends with his other friends if he has any. After that he can't be mean to you or he gets in trouble with his girl. When she is around it is also a good time to ask him to do something, he'll want to look good for his girl. Just don't overdo it, if you use this tactic too many times it can blow up in your face. Use this tip to get the chance to show your brother that you're not just some annoying little kid and that you two do have stuff in common.
  • Try to find some interests that you share with your brother, no matter how small
  • Don't annoy or pester your brother - be a role model. Even if you're younger than him.
  • Be nice to your brother and he will be nice to you.
  • Stay away when his friends are around.
  • Don't say "no" when he tells you to do something.
  • Don't say yes to everything he tells you to do but say yes often enough
  • Keep the song appropriate.
  • When you say no don't be whiney nor too direct say "maybe later"
  • Don't make fun of him when he's with his friends.
  • Stay calm if he says "no"
  • Have silly pillow fights with him when he is in enjoying mood.

Warnings

  • As with any relationship, it is possible for irreconcilable differences to occur. Those steps are unlikely to assist if you and your brother are having a real disagreement about something serious such as money, the care of your parents on a cheating spouse.
