- Wash your car on a nice day. Pick the perfect day to wash your car. It isn't fun if you wash your car in weather that is either too cold or too hot.
- Put on some music. Find your mp3, CD player, laptop, or portable radio. Turn on your car radio. If none of these are available, sing to yourself. Be careful to not get your electronics wet.
- Make sure you have everything. Get all of the stuff you need together and set it up. You can't properly clean your car if you don't have everything you need to make it nice and shiny.
- Start washing. Wipe to the beat of the song and think about how shiny it's going to be when you're done. Just remember to wipe every spot on the car.
- Sit in the driver's seat and pretend you're cruising through the countryside as you clean the steering wheel. Imagine yourself as the best race car driver competing in a race.
- Enter your car in a contest or pretend to. Pretend to enter your car in a cleanest car competition. Make it seem like you will win a certain amount of money for the reward.
- Invite your friends. Have a race against your friends to see who has the cleanest car. You could also get your friends to help you clean it. You can have a good water fight while you wash the car. It sometimes can become boring when you wash a car alone.

- If you have some car shampoo, use it! It makes your car look shiny.
- Make sure you clean the inside and outside of your car.
