Have a Pretty Summer Look

This can give you a sweet easy look in the summer. It's casual and fresh.

Steps

Looking Great

  1. Take a shower and use a fresh and fun smelling shampoo. Philosophy products work great and smell really strong so its last longer. Use lots of conditioner so that way your hair can be soft and bouncy and free in the summer, and in case you decide to go on a walk or swim it will look soft.
  2. Get a pedicure or give yourself a home pedicure. Make sure that you use a pumice stone to remove any hard skin, then exfoliate, moisturize and paint them a nice colour such as red ( lengths legsĀ :o!) In the summer you will be wearing lots of flip flops and sandals meaning that your feet will be on show.
  3. If you have naturally curly hair find a good curling product. I like Redken's French Curls Curl refiner. It leaves your hair Anti- frizz and doesn't give you that wet hard look a lot of curling products give you. Lite curls or waves are a very pretty way to do your hair in the summer. It looks relaxed and its easy to do. If you don't have curly hair try curling it with an iron and then loosely shake it so its more subtle.
  4. Work on your summer tan and try to get a nice golden tan, but make sure you still wear sunscreen. Sun burns can ruin your summer and look really bad like you don't care about your skin. You can also get skin cancer. Consistently have lotion on your skin to keep your tan looking fresh and vibrant. You can also try to build a tan with a good lotion. Try Jergen's Natural Glow daily moisturizer - it's for your face and body
  5. Add a some fresh smelling perfume or body spray so that when you walk by someone they smell you and say yum (but do not over spray)! A good way to do this is to spray a mist in front of you and then walk into it. Afterwards if you want you can spray a little bit onto your wrists and neck.

Doing Your Makeup

  1. Wash your face. Use a light moisturizer on your face (do not use a body lotion or any other scented lotion that is not specifically designed for your face)
  2. Swap heavy foundation or powder for tinted moisturizer in the summer. However be warned, just because a product says it has an SPF doesn't mean you can get away with not wearing sun cream.
  3. Use bronzer in one shade darker than your skin tone, or a peachy shade blusher, to make it look like you're tanned. Put a little bit on your forehead and nose to look like you've been in the sun a lot.
  4. Brush the soft color of eyeshadow that you choose and put it on from your eyelids to your eyebrows. As a guideline, blue suits brown eyes, browns suits blue eyes and purple suits green!
    • Metallic eyeshadows look great in summer, especially with a tan. Silver shades suit those with a cooler complexion and gold and bronze suit those with a warmer complexion.
    • Highlight your brows by putting a whitish color underneath them.
  5. Curl your eyelashes. Then layer on the mascara and make your lashes the best part, make them look long , girly, and sweet. You may want to do the bottom lashes also. Putting a little mascara and the edges of your eyes gives them more shape.
  6. Don't do lipstick. Just a sheer lip gloss that's shiny and fruity- smelling.

Tips

  • Always smile it gives people good vibes
  • Buy a good quality pair of sunglasses to last you through the summer. Take an honest friend with you who can tell you what suits you and what doesn't. Try to stick to a relatively classic pair that will last you several summers.
  • Every summer wardrobe should have a few key pieces that you can manage your wardrobe around I would suggest; a good pair of light jeans ( such as light blue or white), a pair of shoes that will go with every outfit ( such as white ballet pumps), a mini skirt or a pair of shorts and summer jacket, cardigan or hoodie.
  • Try painting your nails a different color every week or every 3 days, fun colors
  • when you get a bathing suit wear bright colors and also make sure is looks good on you, don't just get it because the model looked good in it.
  • have fun
  • Mix bronzing powder with your sunscreen lotion and apply generously on your arms and legs for a natural glow.

Warnings

  • Remember to be prepared for any sudden changes in weather.
  • Don't be alarmed if you are suddenly approached by many hot boys. (as if)
