Highlight Your Hair With Lemons

How would you like natural, beautiful blonde or light brown highlights, that come with natural ingredients, AND cost less than 3 dollars? You can do them yourself, and they still look unimaginably beautiful and natural!

Steps

  1. Take the sections of your hair that you want to highlight, and separate it COMPLETELY from the rest of your hair.
  2. Take a lemon and cut it in half, and then cut it into quarters.
  3. Squeeze the lemon in half over the hair that you want to highlight, while holding the hair you want to highlight AWAY from your head, as shown in image 1
  4. Put lemon juice on everything you want highlighted
  5. Sit out in the direct sun for 1- 1 and a half hours or until highlights are how light you like them, combing your hair occasionally.
  6. If the highlights aren't light enough, put more lemon juice on the same spots as before and sit out for another 30 minutes.
  7. Finished.

Tips

  • Stay out for less time if you don't want unnaturally bright highlights
  • These highlights look COMPLETELY natural, they are beautiful, and they last about as long as normal highlights, and they will go as bright as you like if you keep putting lemon juice on them and sitting in the sun for 30 minutes
  • DON'T wash your hair for 1 to 2 days. You can, of course, shower during that time period, but only rinse your hair.
  • Highlights WILL look natural if you sit out for less than 1 hour
  • This type of highlight shows up VERY well in any type of braid
  • For the highlights to look VERY natural, sit in the sun for 45 to 50 minutes at most.
  • tilt your head to the side to avoid getting lemon juice on hair you don't want highlighted

Warnings

  • Do not drip lemon juice on the rest of your hair or it will spot.
