Steps
- Have permission. If you don't own the property yourself (such as if it belongs to your parents or a friend, make sure you have their permission. Even if you do own the property, make sure it's appropriate to do such a thing: that it's all right with neighbors (or that there are no neighbors near enough to mind the noise) and that it's not against ordinances.
- You'll also need to have space enough to rearrange the terrain and run motorcycles or quads on it.
- Get dirt and build a track with jumps.
- Invite riders. Three or four will do. You don't need too much.
- Charge admission to pay for the gasoline and to pay your riders.
- Advertise your shows so that people know about them.
- Have someone record the event on video.
Tips
- Agree in advance how you will compensate your riders. Will you pay them for time? For gasoline? Or will you simply?
- There's no need to hold motocross events for money, or to have an audience. As long as everyone is content just to get together and have a place to ride, just do it for the fun of it.
Warnings
- Always wear a helmet and riding gear, it's for safety.
- If you want to charge admission, pay your riders, or advertise your events, be aware of laws governing these activities.
