Kill the Tyrant in Resident Evil

So, you have come this far, but now the last boss, the Tyrant, is giving you a hard time.

Note: There are minute differences between both versions of this game, and also may depend on which character you use.

Warning: This contains spoilers for one of the most fun and surprising parts of the game.

Steps

First Encounter

This encounter is in the lab, right after Wesker releases it.

1. Run away to put a distance between you and the Tyrant.
2. Aim and fire the Magnum at him when you get to the end of the big straight. Luckily, he only walks in this encounter.
3. Retreat further and then fire if he gets close to you. He should go down in no more than 6 shots.
4. If you killed Barry use his BARRY'S MAGNUM or just use the SELF-DEFENCE GUN

Tips For First Encounter

• In this encounter, he will only swipe at you.
• If as Chris and you let Wesker die during the Lisa Trevor fight, he will appear here again (remake).

Second Encounter

This encounter is on the helipad, right before the end of the game. All seems to be going well, and Brad is about to rescue you until... Tyrant breaks through the ground. Brad can't land until you have killed him, but he can drop you a little goodie... Note: Depending on if you let your partner live, you may not have this encounter, just be picked up when you get to the helipad.

1. Shoot off the signal rockets to signal to Brad where you are.
2. Watch the cutscene where your partner(s?) comes through the elevator, and then the Tyrant breaks through the ground to crash the party.
3. Shoot him with the Magnum until you have done enough damage. If he heads toward one of your partners, shoot him to divert his attention before he kills them.
4. Dodge him whenever he runs straight at you to claw you. If you are hit with his claw, you will receive damage and stay on the ground for a few seconds.
5. Grab the Rocket Launcher from the center of the helipad when Brad drops it.
6. Equip the Rocket Launcher.
7. Aim and fire the Rocket Launcher at the Tyrant. If he deflects it, try again, you've got four chances.

Tips For Second Encounter

• When you get to a certain view on the helipad, you can see the Tyrant's shadow. Use this as an advantage to see when he charge.

Tips

• Remember to save up your Magnum ammo from throughout the game just for this last boss.

Warnings

• On the second encounter, you have a time limit of 3 minutes to kill him, until the self-destruct goes off.
• watch out because if you die you have to restart the whole thing.

Things You'll Need

• Fully loaded .357 Magnum with all the extra reloads you have
• Self defense gun (remake) and at least 3 defense items (remake)
• Rest of your inventory filled with powerful healing items
