Know if You Are a Tomboy
Do people often watch how you behave and point out your tomboyish mannerisms? Read this article if you think you agree with them.

- See if you're daring to take risks. Most tomboys love taking risks and are usually never humiliated when doing goofy things. But if you are afraid of people laughing at you, you can try doing this and maybe think of people who always do goofy things and don't care about people talking about this.
- Think about what kind of clothes appeal to you. If you tend to like more plain, unisex and comfortable clothes over frilly and girly ones and often find yourself complaining about clothes made for girls, you might very well be a tomboy. However, this doesn't always apply since some tomboys may wear dresses at times.
- Try out different rough sports. Tomboys usually love playing rough and having a challenge. Step up to play maybe a friendly but competitive game of football. If you lose to the game but you still like it, you'll know you're a sporty tomboy. But if you think it makes you gross and sweaty, which it does, then the 'sporty' tomboy isn't your thing. Also, sporty and tomboyish aren't the same.
- Listen to different types of music. Try taking an instrument. Most instruments are fine, but learning the guitar, bass or drums will compliment your tomboy look. If you love rock or rap music and play music, you're probably one of the 'musical' tomboys that use music as their sport. But don't get me wrong, tomboys have to have a sense of aggressiveness.
- Play video games. Many guys love video games and most tomboys do too. They usually like first-person shooters or action-adventure games, like Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed. Try playing some video games. If you don't like the gore, try games aimed also at a younger audience, like Legend of Zelda etc. Not all tomboys have to love video games or have no girly interests.
- See if you are comfortable around guys. That means being one of the boys. See if you're not afraid to playfully slap them or fist bump them as if they were family. Guys are funny and they like humor so try telling jokes. If guys enjoy your jokes, it might be another sign that you're tomboyish.
- Be confident! Don't be the damsel in distress, show that you can do things yourself.
