Listen to an iPod or MP3 Player at School

If you want to listen to music in class, then read this and learn how to do it, without getting caught.

Steps

Down-sleeve Method

  1. Wear a loose-fitting jacket.
  2. Stick the earphones inside the jacket and down the sleeve, but keep them just inside the cuff.
  3. Put the iPod in your pants pocket.
  4. Turn the volume down low, so the teacher won't hear it.
  5. Put you hand/wrist up to your ear and listen.

In-sleeve Method

  1. Wear a loose-fitting jacket.
  2. Roll the headphones around the player. This works best with small players.
  3. Slip your hand just inside the sleeve. Be sure to set the volume on low.
  4. Lean your head on your hand. Teachers will likely just think you're bored - just like you probably are.

Bluetooth Method

  1. Get a bluetooth headset.
  2. Cover the headset as much as possible with a baseball cap or with your hair.
  3. Make sure that neither the headset nor the MP3 player is set to discoverable. Some teachers like to use their laptops to find Bluetooth devices.

Hat method

  1. Wear a hat.
  2. Stick your iPod in the hat.

Ear-flap-hat method

  1. Wear a hat with ear flaps.
  2. Use either a headset or earpieces. Both work fine.
  3. Slip your iPod down the jacket of your sleeve, and into your pocket.
  4. Keep your hand in your pocket.

Earmuff Method

  1. Cut a pocket in a pair of earmuffs.
  2. Slip your iPod in the pocket.
  3. Use earphones that fit in your ear - not over or around the ear.

Hoodie Method

  1. Wear a hoodie with the hood up.
  2. Keep the player in your pants pocket.
  3. Run the cord earphone cord behind your back so it comes from behind and over your shoulder before reaching your ear. This will make it less noticeable to those in front of you, while also allowing you to quickly remove the earbud if necessary. Just pull the back of your jacket where the cord is and it will pop out and inside your jacket, where it will be hidden.

Hoodie Method 2

  1. Find and buy a hoodie of which has headphones installed into the strings of the hood. (For a cheaper solution, find a hoodie that has hollowed out string and run the buds through them)
  2. Plug in your iPod in inside of the pocket and pop the buds in.
  3. Enjoy! (Without the hood!)

Pocket Method

  1. Put the iPod inside your jean or pants pocket.
  2. Run the cord through your shirt/jacket and zip it up.
  3. Get those earphones that go IN your ear and act inconspicuous.

Hoodie Method 3

  1. things you will need: hoodie (preferably loose fitting), headphones that go inside your ears, and long hair, or a hat or hood. optional:tight fitting shirt under your sweatshirt to support headphone cord
  2. if your mp3 player or ipod has a clip on the back to clip to your clothes, clip it to the bottom of your shirt or waist of your pants in front, then plug in the headphones and put them up the back of your shirt and put the headphones in your ears from behind. remember to use your hair or hood or hat to cover headphones.

Tips

  • Don't look suspicious while you are listening to music and play the songs on a playlist so you don't have to keep changing it and getting caught.
  • If it's in your pocket, try keeping your finger on the pause button so if the teacher calls on you, you're ready to listen and answer.
  • Don't do this every day or it will get suspicious.

Warnings

  • Some teachers are good at picking up on these tricks. Don't try this with a really strict teacher. It's better to do it in classes with laid-back teachers.
  • If the teacher catches you, don't try to lie. It won't work. There is really no excuse to have a cord up your sleeve.
  • Some teachers use their laptop to find Bluetooth devices. Watch out!
  • Don't play your music too loudly; make sure others around you can't hear it.
  • If the teacher happens to call on you, don't talk really loud as if you can't hear them well.
  • Don't sit with your arm up to your ear the whole class, it will seem like you are up to something.
