Lock iPod Controls
Locking your iPod when it is not in use will disable all of the buttons, so it will not waste energy from being turned on accidentally and also improve the battery life. Here is how to do it.
Steps
- On top of the iPod, there should be a small switch. If there is red next to the switch, the iPod is locked. If there isn't, the iPod is unlocked.
- Flip the switch so that the red shows. Now your buttons are disabled, so you don't have to worry about accidentally turning your iPod on.
- When you want to unlock it, just flip the switch again.
Alternate Method
- Choose an iPod that has a lock feature.
- Think of a code and memorize it. It's like your PIN number.
- Go to the options and type it in so no one can do anything with.
- Type in the code to unlock it.
Tips
- Try to always lock your iPod when you are not using it.
Warnings
- If your iPod accidentally turns on and plays songs because it's not locked, it will lose battery power, so be sure to lock it when not in use.
