Look Good Despite Being Overweight

Although some people consider being skinny a crucial part of being attractive, anyone can be fashionable if they try, even the larger of us.

Steps

  1. If you have a problem with eating too much, just say to yourself "wait am I hungry or bored?" If so, it would be a good idea to try adopt some healthy habits, such as having a balanced diet and exercising. If you are just a little heavier than average, but you do not believe that it is affecting your health, proceed.
  2. Secure some money and go shopping! Bring some friends to help you decide what looks good and what doesn't if you want. Some people feel more comfortable shopping alone, however.
  3. Don't stick to any particular style. If you want to wear purple rubber boots, by all means, wear them. This step really goes for anyone. Having a variety of clothing styles make you a very interesting person and gives good first impressions. If it looks good on you, buy it. Don't listen to people who say that the hottest, most ridiculously expensive store in the mall is the only acceptable clothing store. Develop your own look based on your personality.
  4. Wear your new clothes. People will probably compliment you on your new style. Smile and enjoy your good looks.
  5. Develop your OWN style If that means mixing both the hottest store in the mall, Pac Sun, and Target together, so be it!! You're the leader in what you wear, and don't think about being labeled by the clothes you wear. Baby dolls are great.

Tips

  • No matter how lovely your clothes and hair and jewelry are, a sour attitude will ruin any hope of being attractive you ever had. So be charming. In fact, don't be charming...be REALLY charming.
  • Never try to fit into anything too small or too big for you.
  • Vertical stripes make you look taller, thus making your body look slightly smaller.
  • Don't forget hair! A flattering haircut is always important for overall gorgeousness. Look at pictures to find a fashionable one. Don't leave it to the imagination of the person wielding the scissors.
  • A common myth is that horizontal stripes are unflattering on larger women, and can make them appear larger. While thinner stripes can have this effect, wider stripes can be quite flattering and look very nice.
  • Some guys (or women if you are lesbian/bi) like bigger women anyway. Most men prefer a woman who is slightly heavier than what is now considered "normal."
  • Think baby loveable.

Warnings

  • While dieting and exercise are great, don't resort to starving yourself or purging to get thinner. You could do massive damage to your digestive system. It's hard to enjoy being thin without a functioning esophagus.
