Look and Act Like a Teenage Vampire
Have you always loved vampires that are cool and daring, yet you've always been a bit timid yourself? Have you ever wanted to act and sort of resemble a vampire? Did you ever try to look like a vampire and failed? Look no further because this article will teach you how with slow and accurate steps!
Steps
- Get a good education and read a lot. Since you`re trying to be a teenage vampire, you`ll have to start paying attention to your schoolwork! Vampires are almost always smart and intellectual, so read up on books that you`ll enjoy and learn from! Start with simple books, or maybe How To books on extraordinary topics. Then try to get deeper by reading poetry, vampire novels, mysteries, and maybe even subscribe to a magazine! Just as long as you expand your intellectual side and learn new things, anything is possible!
- Start taking care of your teeth. If your teeth are a mess or are yellow, try getting braces or seeing a dentist for more on target details! Vampires have great teeth, so follow the dentist`s instructions for a healthy smile! If you feel brave enough to wear these in school, go out and buy clip on fangs that aren't tacky or glow in the dark. Yet, if you`re going to do this, only do this if your teeth are white and straight! Otherwise, it might look a bit silly!
- Go shopping at stores that sell antique clothes and jewelry. You have to look the part! Yet in this day and age, you might feel silly wearing long black coats, dresses, or gloves to school. Instead, find some nice dark clothing (black, dark blue, deep red, deep green, dark purple, etc..) made of lace, satin, silk, or anything that looks like it has a Victorian touch to it.
- Then, once you've got a nice sultry piece of clothing, add something with a splash of color to it, like a bright necklace, rings, earrings, or even a belt. Yet don`t go overboard, and remember to buy skirts as well as jeans if you`re a girl. It`s really great to buy dresses for the spring and summer as well, and they don`t have to be in dark colors, but any colors you choose!
- Keep it flowery, beautiful and elegant looking, maybe adding sandals, gloves, or a sunhat to it as well! Remember one thing as well- you want to look sweet, light and dark,vampire-like, and classy! Don`t go too light, and don`t go too dark! (Great colors to use: Black, dark purple, dark blue, white, off-white, tan/brown, deep red, gray, gold/silver, and maybe even some pink.)
- Develop the attitude. Since teenagers have trouble with understanding some aspects of life, it`s best if you start this step out slowly. Make sure you observe a lot, keeping your eyes open and observing everything.
- To really play up the part, stare at someone for a really long time until they look at you, and then just smirk sweetly and mysteriously, making sure to look away. When you come into school, always make eye contact with friends, teachers, and even enemies.
- You want to look intellectual, but remember to keep the gaze amused- not too creepy, and not too rude. Whenever you talk to someone, always think before you speak. Really listen to what someone is asking or telling you before responding. Add in a special touch of drama by saying nothing for a second or two, then answer them with a smooth voice.
- Try not to overreact to anything as well, like per se you see a spider. If spiders and bugs in general freak you out, try to just ignore them and deal with them instead of screaming loudly:"OMG- SPIDER!!!AH!!!" This is not vampire material.
- Befriend civilized or unique people. While you're putting on a façade of being a sweet vampire, it`s still nice to have some friends!
- Do extraordinary things with them on time off, like taking a walk in the park, or going out for lunch. Maybe just inviting them over for a cup of tea and a movie. It`s your call- just remember to smile mysteriously and make eye contact a lot, along with keeping them guessing about what you`re thinking as well! You`ll have them wondering who you truly are all right!
- Wear as little makeup as possible, and always keep your face clean. Vampires don`t have pimples or flaws, but being teenagers, we DO. So try getting a facial wash and some good acne products while eating plenty of fruit and veggies! This`ll support a healthy immune system and healthy skin- don`t forget your vitamins!
- Exercise whenever you can! Playing a sport and joining a team are easy for teens at school. Vampires aren't usually big and bulky, but even if you are, stay in character, stay healthy, and you`ll be just fine!
- Mix and match your room up. Some things can be goth, while other things girly- you are a sweet vampire, after all.
- If you have a crush, subtly show them that you`re into them. Whisper in their ear in a crowded room, smirk and smile pleasantly at them, hug them whenever the moment`s right (but not too much) and always act like something smells good when you`re around them. (which is like their blood!) Remember to not overreact around them, and always stay pleasant and well mannered- they will be hooked!
- Take interest in sophisticated hobbies like writing, reading, drawing, painting, poetry, and listening to classical music. If your school ever hosts operas or plays, go to them and observe everything while boosting your culture as well! People, specially adults, will notice how amazingly different you are from everyone else!
Tips
- Try sitting very still while sitting in class, in the cafe, or on a bench, and looking straight ahead, as if in deep thought. This will make you seem mysterious!
- Always ignore insults and just smile at mean people as if you know what they`re really all about.
- For the first two weeks of pretending to be a vampire, Make-a-Fake-Wound on your neck to make it look like you've been bitten. If somebody asks about it, say "Oh, it's nothing. Just a cut...".
- If anyone asks you nosy questions, look them in the eye hypnotically and smile tenderly, then sweetly say, "That`s none of your business..."
- Try yoga and meditation to make you a calmer person and still your mind- when your mind is clear, it`s easier to act like a vampire!
- Don`t watch too much TV! TV isn't good for your psyche and unless it`s an intellectual show, it won`t teach you anything. Watch your favorite shows, by all means, but don`t do it ALL day! Vampires are SO much deeper than that, and they`re also deeper than Myspace, Twitter, Cellphones, iPods, and Facebook. High tech gadgets are not your friends-but if you must use them, use them wisely!
- Most vampires have light eyes, so if you feel daring, try getting contacts that are a lighter shade than your natural tone! If you`re feeling extra daring, go for a bright red shade- but be warned, you WILL get teased by wearing red contacts!
- Try to keep a great posture. Vampires don`t slouch, so by doing that, you`ll look even more intellectual!
- If you're ever in the blazing heat, put on sunglasses!
- Laugh and be happy whenever something funny happens, but as soon as it`s over, let it drop and go back to looking serious and polite. This`ll make you look super mysterious and spontaneous!
- Take the time to wear long black and luscious coats in the winter whenever you have to go to a special occasion- it`ll make you stand out and look elegant!
- If you have a boyfriend/Girlfriend, always treat them like they`re on top of the world- even though they`re human. Make them feel loved, special, and appreciated at all costs- but not in a creepy way. The little things matter most- like getting him/her a gift of their b-day (something you KNOW they`ll like) and complimenting them on something they barely noted as good (ex: their hair. Maybe it looks a mess to them, but not to you.) Yet allow your wild side to come out from time to time- like when you`re alone and know you won`t be bothered. Kiss them passionately, stare them soulfully in the eyes and caress them until they`re weak! Maybe even nibble on their neck...
- Constantly be holding your neck, like you've been bitten. If somebody asks what's wrong slowly say my... neck... hurts...
- Remember that vampires are pale, so try to avoid too much contact with the sun- and in the summer put on loads of sunscreen almost every hour you`re outside!
- Talk about interesting topics that are different from what you`d expect a normal teenager to ask! Ex: You know, in the 1940`s when World War 2 started I couldn't help but have hatred for the Nazi`s. What`s your opinion on this?" Make sure to ask historical questions, but make it seem like it happened just yesterday (to vampires, it may feel that way!) By asking such an out of the blue question it not only makes you seem smart, but as if you've lived through that time.
- If it`s a hot summer day/ spring day and you`re at the park, put a red colored drink in a water bottle or clear container, and sip it every now and again in front of friends!( It`ll be like blood!) Make sure to widen your eyes while drinking it like it were something amazing, along with sighing deeply (as if relieved!) and licking your lips after you`re done!
- Make up a backstory to your character, if you`re feeling creative! When were they born? Where? What was your human past? When were you turned into a vampire? Who did you meet on your journey? Become creative and write the story in a journal of some sort and keep it hidden...maybe you can transform it into an actual book later on in life and get money for it, never telling anyone that it`s secretly your "life"! make sure to mention any of the characters and events that happened in your story to close friends randomly as well! Ex: "So, who was your best friend when you were little?" you answer; " That`d have to be Alfredo Hoovers...Such a kind and sensitive being really, such a shame we moved apart...he had a great knack for writing and speaking Italian..." Something like that`ll seem offbeat and mysterious, along with uncompromisable! Make sure while dictating it you look like you`re thinking back into the past as well! This`ll add drama too!
- Start listening to music others don`t really know about. There are plenty of classic bands out there that have great music, and by you listening to them, it makes you definitely fit to be a vampire and boosts your culture tenfold!
- Take the time to get to know your teachers on a friendly level. Vampires find humans interesting, especially intelligent humans. Ask them lots of topic related questions in class, go to them for tutoring, or even make the effort to just pass their class! Simple things make teachers notice you as an amazingly bright student, and not some jerk who has his pants too low. Remember, teachers are...only human.
- Write vampiric stuff in your journal like how you feel drawn to a certain person's blood, then leave it for them to read.
Warnings
- Don't be afraid to let people judge you. You are who you are! Embrace it!!!
- Don`t be rude to people unless you feel you have no other choice. You want to make friends(not too many), and not enemies.
- Remember you are not a real vampire and cannot drink anyone`s blood!
- Don`t try to kill someone or hurt someone- please! You`re not really a vampire- you`re only acting like one!
- People may make fun of your classy style of dressing, so be prepared.
- Above all, remember that you are not a vampire. You're a normal, everyday teenager who has chosen to imitate a certain style. Take the good advice in this article for what it is and try not to have unrealistic expectations.
