Make Chocolate Fondue in the Microwave
Microwaves have creatively evolved since their invention, while continuously shortening the amount of time needed to make countless recipes. Chocolate fondue is amongst them. Children and adults alike enthusiastically dip and savour the warmth and taste of the fondue, making special get togethers even more special! The microwave enables you to spend more time with your guests!
Ingredients
- Milk
- Chocolate
Steps
- Use 1/4 cup of milk (approximate measurements are fine), and pour it into a microwave safe bowl. Put the milk in the microwave for a minute and a half, or until hot.
- Add the chocolate bar to the bowl. Place the bowl back in the microwave for 1 minute.
- Take the bowl out of the microwave and stir the chocolate and milk together.
- Dip anything you so desire into the hot fondue! Marshmallows, graham crackers, bananas, apples, strawberries--anything!
- Finished.
Tips
- Check the 1/4 cup of milk at 30 second intervals as microwave ovens do vary.
- The measurements given are approximate; use your good judgement as to how much chocolate and milk you want to use.
Warnings
- Make sure the bowl you are putting in the microwave is microwavable. Do not use plastic or metal.
- Be careful--the bowl coming out of the microwave will be hot!
- Make sure there are no metal objects in there - the next things you will see are smoke and sparks!
- Do not obstruct the vents on the top or side of the microwave - this is as dangerous as putting metal in it!
- Do try not to make a mess!
