Make Elephant Ears in a Microwave

"Elephants ears" are fried dough snacks often served at fairs.[1] This recipe provides one easy way to make elephants ears, but without the oil or having to make dough. It makes a great snack and if you have a microwave at work, it can be a very tasty pick-me-up during the work day.

Ingredients

  • 1 tortilla
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar

Steps

  1. Cut one tortilla into multiple (thick) strips.
  2. Place the tortilla strips on a microwaveable plate.
  3. Rub butter generously over one side of the strips. To make it easier, you can butter before cutting into strips!
  4. Place the plate of strips in the microwave. Microwave on high for two and a half minutes.
  5. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar. Serve immediately.
