Make Fruit Gelatin from Scratch
Before commercial flavored Make Gelatin Molds with Decorations Inside became popular it was made using gelatin and fruit juice. Here's recipe for making fruit gelatin from scratch.

Ingredients
- 1/2 ounce or 2-1/4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 3 cups Appreciate Fruit Juice
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Sugar, to taste
Steps
- Soak the gelatin in cold water until softened.
- Strain fruit juices, if needed, and then heat to boiling point.
- Pour hot juice over gelatin.
- Add the lemon juice and sugar to taste.
- Chill until jelled.
- Serve with fruit, Make Boiled Custard or softly whipped cream.
- Finished.
Tips
- Do not use fresh pineapple in this dessert.
- Add fruit to the partially set gelatin.
