Make Greco Roman Ravioli

This is a recipe for a type of Greco-Roman ravioli. It is great served with fresh salad and olives. Unlike Italian ravioli, there is no need for a sauce. If you want something over the top, drizzle some extra virgin olive oil. Bon appetit!

Ingredients

  • Feta Cheese
  • Ravioli skins
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salad & olives for serving

Steps

  1. Brown Feta cheese in olive oil in a saucepan.
  2. Brown chopped onions and garlic.
  3. Stuff the cheese, onion and garlic mix inside the ravioli skin. Pinch shut.
  4. Cook the ravioli like a dumpling in boiling water. Cook for about 8 minutes. Keep a watch for it becoming overcooked, namely starting to fall apart.
  5. Serve on a platter with olives and spinach-tomato salad.

Tips

  • Try various types of flour, such as brown rice flour, lentil flour, or wholegrain flour mixed with almond meal.
  • Extra virgin olive oil is best.

Things You'll Need

  • Saucepan and pan of boiling water for dumplings.
