Make Mozzarella Sauce
Add some flavor to your pasta with this creamy sauce recipe.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 28 oz. can tomato puree
- 4 oz. shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup lightly packed basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper
Steps
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 2 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Add tomato puree and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Add mozzarella and basil and stir until cheese melts.
- Season with salt and pepper.
Tips
- Great for shell and angel hair pasta.
- Serves 6 and tops 1 lb. of pasta.
- Sauce thickens upon standing.

- Don't leave your cooking unattended.
- Careful when cooking the oil, as it can splatter.
