Make Quick & Easy Valentine's Boxes
Valentine's boxes can make excellent gifts for Valentine's Day, or they can be sold at school bazaars, etc. to raise funds. These basic sponge inserted inside the box can be made using any toppings that you like.
Steps
- Use lightweight construction paper to make a small box. Make about half a dozen boxes.
- Make a large square sponge cake.
- Cut into small square pieces that will fit your little boxes.
- Decorate each sponge square with a topping. Ideal items for the top include:
- Sifted sugar and cinnamon
- Icing and M&Ms
- Fudge
- Icing and gummy bears
- A love heart shape made from icing or candy
- Allow to set. The cake toppings should be dry before placing into the boxes.
- Place each piece in a separate box. Decorate with a bow.
Tips
- For Christmas, you can even put a little set of lights around the box, or a wreath.
