Make Raisin Filling for a Cake
Raisin filling is both tasty and juicy. It gives the cake a sweetened texture and helps to add a bit of zest to an ordinary cake. It can be used as a filling between two layers of a cake, spread on like butter for cut cake or it can be used in place of frosting if desired.
Ingredients
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon powdered or finely granulated sugar
- 1 cup chopped raisins
Steps
- Whip cream if not already done.
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Stir gently.
- Use a knife or a spatula to cover a cake layer or top of a cake with the filling mixture.
- Allow to chill in refrigerator for approximately 1 hour. Test by looking at it to see if it is ready for serving.
