Make a Banana Custard Dessert

An old-fashioned banana custard dessert recipe for a dessert that is quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

Preparation time - 5 minutes.

  • 6 Bananas, very ripe
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • pinch of Ginger

Steps

  1. Choose ripe bananas, peel and slice them up.
  2. Lay them in a glass dish, sprinkle with sugar.
  3. Make a custard with the milk and yolks of the eggs by directions for Make Boiled Custard.
  4. Flavour with a pinch of ginger, and pour it over the bananas.
  5. Let it stand until quite cold, then whip the whites to a very stiff froth and heap them on top; sprinkle with sugar, and serve.
