Make a Barbie Doll Costume for Halloween

Do you want to look like a beautiful Barbie doll for Halloween? Barbie wears a bit of pink, tasteful makeup with blue eye shadow, and perfectly styled hair. Don't forget the high heels! Keep reading for instructions on making a Barbie doll costume for Halloween.

Steps

  1. Find a pink dress or wear all pink. Try something that looks alluring and perhaps something with a low neckline. However, if you're making this costume for a child, try a pink polo and a pink flirty skirt and perhaps some leggings or legwarmers.
    • A large ball gown could be used if you've been one of the more elegant barbies. Visit a thrift store for cheap unwanted evening gowns or bright skinny jeans paired with a bright top and some bracelets.
  2. Wear high heeled shoes. If you are making this costume for a child, try kitten heels or even flats, such as pink ballet flats.
  3. Wear make up, lip gloss, eye shadow, and blush, maybe in a tone of pink. Look at photos of Barbie's face for an idea of making the makeup look brighter than usual. If it is for a child, just a little lip gloss or chapstick will do and maybe some face and hair glitter. Real make-up is bad for your child. Barbies normally wear blue eye shadow with a pink just above her eye.
  4. If you don't already have blond hair, find a light blond wig. Make sure that it is inexpensive, but not too fake looking. Arrange the hair into a smart ponytail. The original Barbie look is big blond hair.
    • To use your own hair, you can make it look really messy, like a child ruined it, or perfect, as if you are a brand new Barbie!
    • Any color will do as there are brunette Barbies but blond is the most common color.
  5. Consider adding accessories. Wear a tiara and carry a purse with a fake dog in it.

  • Act like Barbie like in her fab movies just like A Perfect Christmas , A Secret Fairy or The Mermaid Tale 2 and 1, etc.
  • Say random sayings a Barbie would say, such as "Hi, I'm Barbie Wanna Play With Me?"
