Make a Broccoli and Carrot Rice Topping
This is a very tasty topping that is totally vegetarian and can be added to any type of cooked, savoury rice.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup broccoli cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup raw carrots diced
- 3 tbs olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper or ground pepper. Red, black or white as you desire.
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 4 tbs of soy sauce
Steps
- Heat skillet with olive oil.
- Place broccoli and carrots in skillet. Stir fry vegetables.
- Add garlic powder, pepper, chili powder and soy sauce.
- Turn heat to low and stir constantly until vegetables are tender.
- Place over rice and enjoy!
- Finished.
Tips
- Serve this topping on rice which is accompanying a protein based dish such as beans, chicken or eggs to make a nutritional balanced meal.
- If you don't have a skillet, use a wok or a frying pan.
