Make a Cute Valentine's Day Bag

A cute heart-shaped bag that is sure to win the heart of whoever your giving it to!

Steps

Take the first piece of construction paper, and cut out a {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} by {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} rectangle.
Fold it in half, so it is {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} by {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}}.
Hold the folded side down, and the side w/two separate sheets up. With the pencil, draw a curved line on the side that is NOT folded.
Cut along this line on both sheets of paper.Try not to waste too much paper. This is half the top of your heart.
Draw a straight line parallel to the bottom right under the curve. DO NOT CUT.
Starting from the folded edge, draw 2 vertical, straight lines-stop them right before the line you made in the last step. Make sure the three parts you made are evenly sized.
Repeat steps 1-6 again on the other piece of construction paper. You can trace the shape of the 1st onto the 2nd to make it easier.
Now this is the hard part. Take the first strip on one piece and the 1st strip on the other. "Weave" one through the other like shown in the picture. NOTE: this isn't normal weaving. its is not an "under-over-under-over" pattern.
do the same for the next two strips.
If you want handles, punch two hole at the top of the heart you made
Thread yarn through them and tie knots to keep them on. Careful not to tear the paper.

Fill it with candy or little toys.
If it is for a valentine, pink, red, or white is probably a better idea. If it is just a casual gift anytime of the year, use any color you like.
Fill with love letters, pictures, or cards.
