Make a Doritos Taco Salad
This delicious meal is a great way to use taco leftovers. It also makes a good snack or an easy lunch to bring to work.Template:BrServes 2

Ingredients
- ¼ head iceberg lettuce
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 ounces ground beef or turkey (or both)
- ¼ package taco seasoning
- ½ tomato
- ¼ onion
- 1 bag Doritos (crushed), snack pack or vending machine size
- ¼ bottle Catalina dressing, or dressing of choice
Steps
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet pan and season with the taco seasoning. Drain any liquid from the meat and put it on the side to cool.
- Prepare the vegetables. Chop the lettuce, onion, and tomato. Put the pieces in a large bowl.
- Sprinkle the cheese and crushed Doritos over the vegetables.
- Fry the ground turkey. Also season with taco seasoning.
- Add the ground beef and ground turkey to the vegetables.
- Pour the dressing over everything.
- Serve immediately.
Tips
- If preparing the salad ahead of time for lunch at work or school, keep the bag of Doritos separate so they stay crunchy. Add the chips just before eating.
- Sour cream or guacamole can be added if desired, or in place of salad dressing.
