Steps

Have Grungy Hair Without Doing Anything or buy a grungy blonde wig
Go to a thrift store and buy some old jeans, Turn an Old T Shirt Into a Fab Fitted Fabric, and a flannel shirt.
Rip the jeans and paint them or add some weird mismatching fabrics as patches. Do not cut them. If it's too cold for rips, wear long johns underneath them.
Rip the sleeves of the flannel shirt a bit.
Wear long crew socks.
Get some old Customise Converse Trainers or Airwalk knock-offs.
Get some Cobain sunglasses

If you have long blonde hair, don't wash it for a couple of days to get a greasy look.
Be original! Look at pictures of Kurt Cobain for ideas. This is just a bare to the bones basic style.
If you want you Chucks beaten up fast, go stamp around in dirt/mud in them. If you get cut wipe it on your laces. Also to, rip them, up ride down a hill on your belly on a skateboard and when you get fast stick your feet down in a bunch of different ways.
