Make a Lavender Bag

Scent your socks, underwear, clothes, even your favorite teddy bear with these home-made lavender bags. The end result is just lovely.

Steps

  1. Get a bucket or bowl and go to a lavender bush. Put your fingers along the stem and pull into the bucket, stripping the flowers from the stem. Do this until your bucket is around {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} full.
  2. Cut material into circles of about {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} diameter.
  3. Put the cut fabric on top of one hand with your thumb and first finger touching at the ends, forming a circle.
  4. Push the middle of the material partially through the circle, making a bag shape.
  5. Put as much lavender as will fit into the bag.
  6. Twist the top around a few times tightly, closing the bag.
  7. Tie the string or ribbon around the twist, and into a secure bow. You now have a lavender scent bag.

Tips

  • You could also do this with rosemary.
  • Make a few to give to friends, or to a charity fair for selling.
  • Do this on a table for easy cleanup.
