Many people in Runescape have resort to make skiller pures, some people are unsure why. Tips

  • When you receive gems from mining, do not sell them. Why sell something you could use later?
  • Do quests when you are getting bored, some rewards are worth the trouble, for example, the knights sword quest gives you 29 smithing levels from level 1, which saves A LOT of time.
  • Sticking to one skill at a time, is always ideal as it is quicker to level up, and achieving an impressive level in a skill should motivate you to get higher.
  • To avoid leveling up by mistake, equip a Training bow or regular Shortbow without any arrows. This way, you will never be able to attack. If you are doing a more dangerous quest (like Black Knight's Fortress) and want to equip a shield, you can also use a Crossbow without bolts.
  • - Note, however that your name does not have to contain the word skill or skiller.
  • Be positive, and try not to be discouraged by other great skillers, since they were in your shoes once.
  • Try to make your name creative a unique. Obviously the name 'Drag0n killer' wouldn't be an appropriate name for a skiller. Instead choose a name such as 'pur3skill' or possibly 'Fierce skiller'.
  • Take breaks. If you start off training a skill for hours at a time without a break, you will get bored, And it will not motivate you. motivation is the key to making an impressive skiller.

Warnings

  • Do not get frustrated if you die, you most likely won't lose much anyway. Just be careful not to equip large amounts of money or stackable items which leads to the next warning.
  • When thinking about doing a quest, make sure you check what the reward is before doing it. Some quests give you combat experience that may be unwanted.
  • Do not buy expensive items that don't have any use (eg. Santa hat, halloween masks, party hats etc.) Unless you can afford it and have plenty more cash for your skills.
  • Try not to get frustrated when other skillers ask your skills levels. It can get agitating, but it can also keep you from becoming bored(and also make some friends!).
