Make a Shanghai Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram (6 cups) cooked rice or less
  • 250 grams Chinese sausage (chorizo bilbao)

  • 150 grams (5.3 ounces) shrimp or more
  • Soy sauce

  • Monosodium glutamate (MSG) (optional if you have allergies)
  • Salt

Steps

  1. Fluff and spread the cooked rice on a baking tray, let it cool.
  2. Chop the garlic finely.
  3. Chop the spring onion.
  4. Cut the Chinese sausages into thin discs.
  5. Fry the scrambled eggs and cut into strips.
  6. Slice the lettuce into strips
  7. Using a Chinese wok, heat oil.
  8. Add garlic, onion and shrimps for the sauté.
  9. Add the strips of scrambled egg and stir well.
  10. Then add the green peas, lettuce, salt and white pepper or MSG.
  11. Add soy sauce and spring onions, stir well to evenly distribute the ingredients.

Tips

  • You can use other non - msg flavor enhancers.

Warnings
