Make an Alka Seltzer Bomb
You may have heard of the standard twist-the-bottle-and-blast-the-cap trick. This is much different, however. This is if you want a bigger bang and to launch the cap farther.
Steps
- Break up 5-6 Alka-Seltzer tablets and put them on a piece of paper.
- Curve the paper and slide the tablets into the bottle filled with water.
- Quickly put the cap back on and wait until all the tablets dissolve.
- Go to a safe area and very quickly screw off the cap.
Tips
- When twisting the cap off, make sure to twist quickly, or all you're going to get is a hissing noise and some very bitter water.
- You can also add food coloring for a colorful bomb. You can also try this with diet coke, but if so do not use food coloring or when it explodes you will be covered in sticky food dye.
Warnings
- You definitely don't want to add more than five packets of Alka-Seltzer for fear of the bottle exploding.
