Move the Dropbox Folder to a New Location

Windows and Linux
- Click the Dropbox icon located in the system tray. (The system tray by default is located in the bottom right corner of the screen).
- Select “Preferences”.
- Click the “Advanced” tab. Note: This step is for Windows XP users only. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users can skip this step.
- Click “Change…”.
- Select a new location on your hard drive.
Mac OS X
- Click the Dropbox icon located in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
- Select “Preferences”.
- Click the “Advanced” tab.
- Select “Other…” from the Dropbox location drop down menu.
- Select a new location on your hard drive.
Tips
- You can download the Dropbox for iPhone application through iTunes or Dropbox for Android from the Android Market.
Warnings
- Folders within your Public folder cannot be shared.
