Play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Ah, yes. As the next generation comes out, a new generation of games come out. One of the first of these is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Steps

  1. Naturally, you must buy Elder Scrolls IV: Win the Arena Every Time in Oblivion for either PC, PS3 or Xbox 360. All are fine versions. Xbox 360 is definitely smoother and more bug-free, PC is much more open to modifications and plug-ins and PS3 is the most bug-free but with the least mods.
  2. Create your character. If you are not using any modifications, your choices are: Imperial, Nord, Breton, Redguard, Khajiit, Orc, Argonian, High Elf, Wood Elf, and Dark Elf. Each has certain skill bonuses. A balanced character for a stealth/combat/magic is the Dark Elf. Imperials are good for this too.
  3. Your stats must also be well balanced. Each one must be "linked" in a way to flow perfectly during combat.
  4. As you travel, shut any gates you come across, and raid each cave. This will earn you great "loot", or items, for use. Never use "fast travel" unless absolutely needed. Your levels will certainly go higher much faster, and your basic knowledge base will grow.
  5. Play as if you were in the game. Do not set everything on easy and slash your way through. Use a pattern of blocking, slashing, and casting that you feel is comfortable. This will help you a whole deal, also try to evade each of your opponents attacks.
  6. Join all factions! This will help you a whole lot! As faction members, you become in tune with new quests and items! You may also stumble upon personal quests.
  7. Always listen to rumors, and persuade every character. One out of every four people have a special quest for you to do!
  8. Usually do other quests before the main quest. When you start to get into the main quest at levels like 15 to 25, things get much more intense, and Gates of Oblivion will become more fun!
  9. Have fun! Of course, do research and try your best, but have fun when you play. This will encourage you to do all that is right.

Tips

  • Always save before entering areas that are unknown to you.
  • Balance your characters stats. This will provide to be very useful.
  • Close every Oblivion Gate before completing the main quest. After completion of the main quest, all Oblivion Gates are shut.
