Play Powder Game and Make Cool Stuff in It

Ah. Powder Game. The lovely, and really, really, really, awesome Java-Based physics sandbox that resides in Dan-ball's website. This is one of the most extensive java games on the internet. In this article, you will learn how to play powder game, and how to master the art of powder creation.

Steps

  1. Load the game on the official powder game website(Under Sources on this page)[1].
  2. You will see a black screen with a panel of elements at the bottom. To begin, click on one of the elements.
    • Some elements, such as BLOCK, TORCH, and C-4 are static, which means they stay in the air. Other elements, like POWDER, SEED, and VIRUS are particulate and float to the ground upon spawning.
  3. After selecting your element, hold down Mouse1 to spawn it.
  4. You can use Mouse2 (Windows users) or Ctrl + Click (Mac Users) to spawn a secondary element. You can also select a Mouse1 function and Mouse2 function and hold down both to spawn two elements at once.
  5. Get creative! You make make things such as trees, firework shows, bombs, mortars, grills, and guns.
  6. You can adjust how the elements are viewed by clicking on the BG-Line under the grid button.
  7. When player is selected, use the left and right arrow keys to move and the up key to jump. If your player's head is colored (unlike the normal skin color) use the down key to spawn that element. Remember, this only works with particulate elements.
  8. If you want to share your creations with the world, you can make an account on Dan-ball's website. However, uploads are limited to one creation per day, so choose wisely.

Tips

  • When uploading, you have to be very fast because only 100 people can upload their creations each day.
  • Remember, Powder Game receives constant elemental updates and bug fixes.
  • Remember, Dan-ball is a Japanese website, but a slightly rough translation is available if you click the English link in the upper right hand corner of the website if you run into Japanese characters or put '/en' behind the link.
  • USE THE GRID! This is what you need to use if you want your designs to be symmetrical.
