Steps
- Mixture - Idle Cutoff.
- Fuel shutoff valve - Off (pull full out)
- Auxiliary fuel pump - Off.
- Master switch - Off.
- Cabin heat and air - Off.
- Airspeed 100 knots. If fire is not out, increase speed to find an airspeed which will provide incombustible mixture.
- Execute a forced landing.
Warnings
- If engine fire occurs close to the ground it is not advisable to maintain 100 knots or faster. you should in this case maintain 65 knots (best glide speed) and then execute forced approach.
